THE PRESIDENTS STATE OF THE NATION SPEECH AS I WOULD WRITE IT-------I acknowledge this country has serious problems that must be addressed urgently.These problems are as a result of bad governance by past regimes or refusal by these past regimes to do that which the people mandated them to do.I must admit that there is a lot of indiscipline in the public service whose trickle down effect has resulted in citizens becoming indisciplined .The sum total of this indiscipline by leaders and the general populace has resulted in the chaos that we witness daily in our country.The time to rein in the chaos is now and not tomorrow.Impunity that allows people to get away with action that it clearly criminal will not be tolerated.I want to declare now for the elimination of doubt that nobody is above the law and failure by public officers to prosecute cases whose investigations are complete shall result in dismissal and prosecution of the said officers for abuse of office.Corruption has brought this country to its knees and perpetrators of this vice must be taught that that the citizens of this country cannot suffer at the expense of a few profiteers.My coalition in parliament will introduce in parliament under a certificate of urgency a bill that will make corruption an offense liable to life imprisonment and unlike before this punishment will be accompanied by a disposession clause ,crime should not be seen to pay.We are in this war against vice together for it is only with the elimination of corruption and indiscipline that we can move our country to the next level.MAY GOD HELP US.
