THE PROOF IS IN THE “PUDDING” : Having been “knee deep in it” … “dropped in it” … and “up to my neck in it” at various stages my life, I believe I am well equipped to comment on ……………….. poo. For the sake of this article, I’ll concentrate on horse poo … my speciality … having sidestepped innumerable deposits of it in my 27 years of horse dentistry alone. I have, of course, made the occasional miss-step …. the result of which, though oblivious to myself and my well-seasoned nose ….. has the power to disperse queues in banks …. expel crowds from elevators …. and clear tables at packed restaurants (… though my wife gets miffed when I wear my work boots on such occasions). One particularly interesting poo that took my eye, was extruded yesterday …. during the course of a standard dental procedure ( …. a turn of events universally frowned upon by human dentists). As I rushed to the steaming deposit to warm my hands in the bitter conditions, I was taken aback by the array of dead worms littering the mass … a veritable smorgasbord of blood worms, ascarids and bot larvae. This was certainly a first for me …and well worthy of a photo shoot. Though I don’t make a habit of studying “fresh from the factory” horse faeces, I was very impressed with this result of a previous day’s worming treatment … so much so, that I am pleased to promote it here. Marketed as a 3-in-1 wormer, it certainly lived up to its hype … and delivered the killer blow to a multitude of parasites in the “poo pic” to follow (Suggestion to sensitive souls: Allow your dinner to settle before viewing said pic) . The product is Equitak Excel …. and the proof was definitely in yesterday’s “pudding”. Pics are the front and side view of the very same product.
