THE PROPHETS REWARD He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophets reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous mans reward” Matt 10:41” The word prophet here means a teacher, not a foreteller of future events; but one commissioned by God to teach the doctrines of eternal life. It is no small honor to receive into ones house or life a minister of Jesus Christ. Then you may want to know what a prophet’s reward is? It is the words or utterance of power, grace and ability released by a prophet (or teacher) on behalf of the one whom has honored him. Therefore the honor you give the man of God in your life can provoke the supernatural to be released into your life. In 1king 17, we see the operation of a prophets reward provoked by the widow of Zarephath, first she was sustained all through the period of drought and also she received her dead son back to life. Verse 16 caught my attention in this passage” The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the LORD which He spoke by Elijah.”The word of the LORD had to be spoken by the prophet and it was so. Also, let’s see another part of scripture, 2Chr20:1-30.Here we see also the words of a prophet (the king, Jehoshaphat) come to fulfilment. In verse 20, he said” Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper. Prosperity comes from your prophets and this was evident in verse 25 we see the ease to which the men of Judah prospered because they listened to the words of their prophet. Something interesting strikes me in the 2 example stated above, the prosperity that came as a result of the prophets words was “prosperity with ease”. They didn’t have to struggle to prosper, it came with ease based on the word of the LORD through his prophets. Prov10:22 says, The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it” the word translated sorrow means primarily “painful toil”. The bible in basic English translations puts it this way “The blessing of the Lord gives wealth: hard work makes it no greater” Always take seriously the opportunity to sow a seed or honor your man of God, God has put your prosperity without toil in him, take advantage of it. “Instead of bronze I will bring gold, Instead of iron I will bring silver, Instead of wood, bronze, And instead of stones, iron. A little one shall become a thousand, And a small one a strong nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time. I will post 2 more thoughts on placement. watch out for it. God bless you
