THE PUBLIC DEFENDER You have been charged with a crime. Youre arrested and put in jail. Youre awaiting youre hearing. Youre lost, extremely distraught, dismayed, distressed and most of all depressed. Because the truth be told. You are innocent. But you will need the BEST attorney out there to help you prove this. No less than the Best will do because your very Life is on the line, because the crime you have been charged with carries a mandatory death sentence. But you cant afford the best attorney in the land, so you end up settling with the best that you can possibly do within your means. Hoping that they can win the case for you and secure your freedom once again. So the day comes. And you are facing the judge and jury. You are in awe. Because this is the day in which you will find out your fate. And its all sitting the hands of the attorney you have trusted in to save your life. Present in court are your accusers. They claim they saw you at the scene of the crime. Also present is the prosecutor who is determined to convict you of this crime. And finally the judge who will sentence you if are found guilty. All though in this land everyone is said to be innocent til proven guilty, and the burden of evidence is usually on the prosecution; Your innocence still must be proved and this is weighing heavily on your mind. The hearing starts. Your attorney goes to work. All of the evidence is presented, the testimonies have been heard, and now you are awaiting judgment. The judge comes back with his decision after hearing all closing arguments. With baited breath, you wait to see if your attorney has succeeded or failed to defend you. You begin to hear the judge start his sentence off with “after hearing all the facts and testimonies, I find the accused not guilty based on the lack of incriminating evidence against him.” “You Are Free To Go”. You let out a huge sigh of relief, Tears run down your eyes as you start to say “Thank you” over and over again. You more than likely will even hug the Attorney who defended you with all he knew of his experience. And you find yourself in debt to him for your life. (For you could not have done this without him.) Right??? So what will you do with your real situation. You have been charge with a crime for real. And you ARE guilty of it. All of the proof needed to convict you is present and true. You are currently held in prison, awaiting your judgment. The prosecutor and witnesses are all present with solid evidence to convict you. And when found guilty you will surely face the Death Penalty no questions asked. What do you do when you are guilty of a crime and all the evidence is pointing to you. How do you escape the coming judgment and sure sentence that will terminate your life as you know it? Well I know the Best Public Defender that ever existed. And he has never failed or lost a case, Ever. See what he did was he allowed all the evidence to be presented. And everything was true about me. I was guilty, the evidence does not lie and I was sentenced to death. But all the sudden, a miraculous and unusual thing happened. My attorney stood up and said “Your honor even though this man is guilty of the charges. And the penalty of these charges must be carried out. And he is worthy to suffer the consequences of his actions. If it pleases your honor I would like to take his place and his guilt and his shame and his actions from the past to the future and suffer the penalty in his place that he might have another chance to get it right this time in life.” The Judge was pleased to make this deal. So I was set free to live my life on. A second chance at life. This was sooo amazing to me. But even more amazing was the cost. Like a true Public Defender he was afforded to us By God (who Is judge) when we could not pay for our own defense. The acceptance of my guilt, my trust and faith in him was all it cost me. Because that is how much Jesus loves mankind. And that’s all God has ever asked of us. I tell you this; Not even the Best attorney in the world could go that extra mile for you? “There is no Greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friend.” John chap 15 versus 13 And Jesus calls us Friend John 15:15 First try Him, before you deny Him. Because you need Him, More than you know. Read John 3:16 May God touch your soul, And may you hear His call......Come.
