THE REASON MOST BUSINESSES FAIL!! Most businesses FAIL because they are under capitalized and they run out of money. The reason this happens is because most poeple in business do not even know what business they are in.. It does not matter what business you are in. Every business owner is in the same business. They are in the MARKETING BUSINESS.. A dentist is in the business of MARKETING dental services just like a hair stylist is in the business of marketing hair care services. If you are in business and you do not have CLIENTS who will GIVE YOU MONEY, you are UNEMPLOYED!!! Most business owners make the mistake of completely falling in love with the product or service they create. They just assume that because the product or service is so great customers will just SHOW UP.. Sorry, but it does not work that way.. Your future customers will NOT feel the same way that you do about your product or service until they have a REASON to.. Here is a concept for you. Fall in love with your CLIENTS. Spend all of your energy being of SERVICE to them and solving thier problems. Focus all of your attention on ATTRACTING the people who you can help the most. Quit focusing on your product or service and spend ALL of your time focused on your PEOPLE.. Your bsuiness should have a COMPLETE SYSTEM!!! A marketing funnel that attracts, screens and pre qualifies people who would be interested in doing business with you. This system is ONGOING.. It is not a val pak ad, a money mailer ad, a yellow pages ad or passing out your business card. These are all what I call RANDOM ACTS OF MARKETING.. Your marketing system should be a group of things you do BEFORE the sale, DURING the sale, and AFTER the sale. Most poeple market to get a client than the market to get a NEW client and they completely forget about the other client they just sold to. MArketing without a system for following up and selling more to your past clients will create high stress, no money, no growth and will lead you to bankruptcy. If you want to build your business, build a MARKETING SYSTEM!!!
