THE RESTORATION OF ONE LANGUAGE . DATE :16/12/2014 TEXT :Acts 2:6-9 (KJV) Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, When the Holy Ghost came down on the day of Pentecost, the first miracle long before blind eyes opened ,long before the crippled walked and the deaf had their ears unstopped , there was a supernatural restoration of languages! When the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples who had gathered in the upperoom ,they spake in unknown tongues as the spirit gave them utterance, and sixteen nations who had gathered in another room nearby heard the disciples spake in their own languages. it was an incredible sign to them all .they were astonished . This was the reverse of what happened at the Tower of Babel. At the Tower of Babel ,men had one language but a wrong ambition .with one language and one voice ,they were going to build mans empire so God scattered their language but at several thousands of years later at pentecost, by his spirit, he United the languages once again as one . Why ? When men gathers in one accord to build their own selfish ambition or empire God scatters it but when we gather in one accord and one language to build his kingdom he will unite our languages as one ! Finally, what kind of building does God really approve? Where is Gods building site today ? Where is he really building his edifice on earth today ? Jude 1:20 (KJV) But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Jude 1:20 clearly shows us Gods building site ! Man concentrates and builds his edifice on the outside ,but God builds his edifice on the inside . The building God approves is not on the outside , it is on the inside ! Buidling outward edifice does not fascinate Jesus but inward edifice ! Mark 13:1-2 (KJV) And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. Dont get me wrong , we need buildings to bring in the unsaved and disciple people that are saved but that should not be our primary focus as it is regrettably today . more than outward buildings, The building he has pleasure in is inwardly .
