Our social spending has been reduced dramatically since the 1980s. That means how you vote actually matters. The good news is that inequality is not inevitable. Its not some natural law. The richest 86 families own more than the bottom 11 million people combined! • Canadas CEOs make 206 times the earnings of the average Canadian worker, one of the worst gaps of any advanced country. • The top 10% hold 60% of all financial assets (e.g., stocks, bonds, property, investments, etc.) — more than the bottom 90% combined! • The top 20% owns nearly 70% of all Canadas wealth (2012). • The bottom 50% of all Canadians own less than 6% of Canadas Wealth. • The bottom 20% own less than 1% of Canadas wealth. • The bottom 10% have more debts than assets.
