THE REUNION Ok everyone, I know you have all been patiently waiting on how we were able to get Troy today! Its been a very emotionally charged day!!! So the last couple days have been filled with hope. We were getting a lot of sightings and thinking he was starting to show himself more. One of our customers at the salon called yesterday to let us know she saw him and she had put food out. He was seen there again eating the food this morning. We were trying to be patient, we didnt want to scare him off again, so we waited awhile and decided to go set the have a heart up where she was feeding him. My son and I were there, setting up the trap. We were both kneeling down at the trap, and around the corner, there he was, right in front of my eyes!!! My son Jays back was to him and I said, very quietly, Dont move, he is right behind you It was so hard to contain myself, but I didnt want to scare him off.I think he was finally close enough to see us and smell us and realize, (Hey, I know these people,lol) My son stayed down and turned to look. Troy stood there looking at us for a few seconds. I was holding my breath praying he wasnt gonna run again. My son called out calmly, Hey Troy and he walked right over to us, my son grabbed him picked him up and I was so full of emotions I just started crying and saying , OH my God,oh my God we got him like a hundred times!!! LOL We got in the truck,drove him straight to the vets( of course I hugged him and kissed him and got ticks all over me first). He was checked over , covered in a ton of ticks,got bathed, Thank you Kathleen Keeler, had some minor abrasions, and his belly is a bit bloated from eating who knows what. He did test pos for Lyme so will be taking some Doxy. We got home, his other buddies came to greet him, he ran around the house jumping on everything wagging his tail and is already back to his old self besides being extremely tired! He took a nap with my daughter and is now in my bed, sleeping with Daddy!!!
