Am Mòd Nàiseanta Rìoghail (The Royal National Mòd), Scotland’s biggest Gaelic Cultural Festival kick starts today, Friday 10th October in Inverness. To keep DCR97.4FM listeners fully up to date Dunoon Community Radio presenters from the weekly all things Mòd Mary Pollock and Frlly with DCRs Fiona Garnham shall be in Inverness reporting on events and keeping us up with all the latest results and of course all the latest gossip Organised by An Comunn Gàidhealach, one of the world’s oldest and most respected national Gaelic organisations, the nine day spectacular will see over 3000 competitors compete in 200 competitions in Highland Dancing, Gaelic Music and Song, Sport, Literature and Drama, offering Gaelic speakers of all levels the chance to compete.
