THE RUN FOR UNITY WHAT IS RUN FOR UNITY? Run for Unity will be the curtain raiser to the Statue of Unity movement. This unprecedented event will witness more than 10 lakh people running simultaneously across 565+ locations in India. This historic run will unite the country in paying a fitting tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, who integrated 565 princely states with independent India. WHEN WILL IT HAPPEN? Run for Unity will be organized on 15th of December, 2013, the 63rd Punyatithi of Sardar Patel. DAYSHOURSMINUTESSECONDS WHERE WILL IT BE ORGANIZED? Run for Unity will be organized across 565+ locations in India covering all the major cities/towns. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? Anyone over the age of 12 can participate in the Run. There will also be a Unity March where families/senior citizens can participate. Everybody is invited!!
