THE SEED THAT BECAME A MAN There are always those who think they - TopicsExpress

THE SEED THAT BECAME A MAN There are always those who think they know best. That’s okay as long as they just share it with others without imposing it on others. Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the latter. He felt called to bully those around him. To make others march to his tune. By my definition that made him a monster. He destroyed my grandfather and my father’s lives. They were hard core democrats. “Were” being the operative word. My family was confined to a physical location which made options few and far in between. But, at least they had options. FDR took that away. This Progressive liberal democrat sold out to Big Business. He allowed himself to be convinced that Big Bussiness was better than a multitude of Mom and Pop stores. He signed a law which took away the right of private sawmills to prepare and market raw timber. It wasn’t good for the country, we needed efficiency of manufacturing and delivery of goods. So, the new law made it illegal for the Garton Sawmill to cut more than one week’s timber a month. Our family went broke. So, my father, looking for a way to feed himself and his future family went to Chiroprtaic College and earned his degree. He got married and opened an office. Then the Socialist, progressive “fair minded” President sold out to lobbyists, the AMA. Now, it was illegal for my father to earn a living. He had to close his office and go back to college and become an MD to be a chiropractor. There was no way that could happen. The AMA wanted the competition out of the way and a democrat president agreed and destroyed my father’s life. All his dreams, for a second time, came crashing down. He sank into depression and hopelessness. This brilliant, talented, genius who loved people and life spent the rest of his life working at minimum wage. My father could add sixteen number across and ten numbers down in his mind. He only graduated from the eighth grade but had a college level education. Most college students today could not pass the 1912 eighth grade exit exam. You could not proceed to high school without passing. Oh yes, he also had an unnamed an undefined congenital health problem that prohibited him from holding down a regular job. Without warning his blood pressure with switch, the diastolic would trade places with the systolic. It would kill any other human. He would often sink to the ground, unable to get up for ten to fifteen minutes. It was like a diabetic low blood-sugar attack. His only hope in having a quality life, was in being self-employed and controlling his own destiny. As he laid dying, the doctors finally figured out was was wrong. It still didn’t have a name but they knew Dad wasn’t a lazy bum who just chose to not support his family. That did not erase all the years of slander and shame. Too late for that. Somewhere in liberal nirvana FDR doesn’t give a damn. The Democrat Party destroys lives and is destroying America. I’m the seed planted by FDR and those other motherless do-gooders who think they know better than the rest of us how to live our lives. I grew up
