THE SHELLING OF BUS STOP GORMASH in Leninsky district, Donetsk. Investigation by Pavel Ivanov.: This morning near 9.00 at a bus stop Gormash in the Leninsky district of Donetsk the shell was exploded. Trolley bus was damaged and about 9 people were killed, many was wounded. This place in Donetsk I know well. This is the final stop of tram №3, of tram ring on Bosse. Trolleybus was moving from east to west on the Kuprina street. The explosion was on the roadway in front of the trolleybus and slightly left of it, in the middle of the road, and another car was on left from. Kuprina road goes up and left. Thats southwest. On photo with the funnel can be seen that it goes from west to east, and there are the pieces which have gone on a trolleybus and car. The windows in the house to the left of the trolleybus along its direction took off from the blast and shrapnel mines. Trolleybus all riddled exactly with shrapnel, more that, on left side. All looked at photos, I think. On the next building there is no large damage, only holes from fragments and windows are not all broken, but only those that were in front of the explosion. Most affected are trolleybus and nearby car. It means that the epicenter of the explosion was on left from trolleybus. Along direction of trolley moving, on right of it is the Gormash factory. It means that in case if Ukrainian artillery fired from the area of Pesky, the damage of trolley would be on top. TOP NOT DAMAGED. On left along trolley direction are: dwelling houses, shops and further above the garden and hospital. All of these facilities are located in higher position to the trolley, which was climbing up. It creates the most convenient place to this fire bus stop, it is left along the trolley movement from areas where is a private sector, hospital, abandoned houses,or from the road. This is confirmed by the holes in the front of the trolley, which can be seen on the photo. Looking at holes we can define that shell was fired from the southwest. Again we do not see holes in the roof of the trolleybus, what means that shot was from close distance and flight path of the projectile was a small arc and almost horizontal. As it is known, Ukrainian military forces are at 20 km distance from the place of fire to west, near Maryinka. If we consider that the holes in the front of the trolley and the holes in the roof are not seen, it is clearly understandable that the shooting was made from the Leninsky district of Donetsk. It could be done only by Russians. It looks like they fired from mortar from distance up to 2 km. If Ukrainian artillery would fire from 20 km, there must be the funnel from an explosion in the asphalt with diameter up to 2 m, and trolley and would be much more damaged. It simply would be blown to bits and hole in trolley would have been all over the roof. So the version about Ukrainian artillery shelling finally disappears. Russian mortars shot from close range up to 2 km. I continue to make my map with the trolley bus location and the direction of the shot.
