THE SHOOT WEEK The week - TopicsExpress

THE SHOOT WEEK The week started with a lot of excitement for me because It was the week I had been waiting for. I had a photo shoot which was scheduled for Tuesday. I was tensed, nervous and at the same time excited because it was my first time having my own photo shoot. I got comments from my older colleagues that it was not an easy task and that it takes a lot of energy and focus, but I did not let that discourage me because I knew that I would do great. The day of the shoot came and I got to work as early as 6:49am to start up with the setup of equipment for the shoot before my colleagues got there to help me finish up. Though the time for the shoot was scheduled for 10:30 a.m. prompt, everything was all set by 8:30 a.m. and all that was left was for the models to arrive and the shoot to begin. The shoot began at 12:30 p.m. thanks to the late arrivals of my models. Without wasting much time after one of my colleague’s was done with her own shoot , I started immediately because time was not at my side and I needed to finish on time. I started the shoot, had some little mistakes with lights in the pictures and the background backdrop always appearing but that didn’t discourage me from taking pictures. I kept on taking pictures and correcting the mistakes I was making little by little all because I didn’t understand how to manage my lights . The shoot was over and I was happy it was because I got a little help from one of my colleague that really stood by me and encouraged me throughout the session After the shoot, I was surprised when our boss came and told us that someone will be coming to teach us on LIGHTS and how to maximize the use the flash. Deep within me I was happy because earlier that day I had problem with lights and it was a relief hearing that someone was coming to take us on lights and flash. The day came and we were all ready to learn from the best: Dr Femi Adewuyi. We were all given more insight on lights balancing and how to manage lights around us during a shoot. We were also given characteristics of lights with enough practical sessions that enlightened me. All in all, the week was a success!!!.
