THE SIX WISE MEN ARE BACK HOME. After a fruitless journey to Brazil to present their case of misappropriation of funds against the Aminu Maigari led NFF board , The wise men were lucky to meet CAF President Issa Hayatou who listened to their case and made a delayed presentation to FIFA. After going through the presentation, the world football governing body laughed at the accusation of financial misappropriation, insisting that was an after thought and will not be accepted. FIFA has therefore carefully gone through the letter presented by the WISE MEN from the office of the Minister and have replied accordingly. The content of FIFAS reply which will be presented to the minister on Monday in his office, is still a secret document as I write this lines but be sure that latest tuesday this week, Nigeria football will return to status quo. 1. The Aminu Maugari led executive committee will be invited to complete their tenure and conduct fresh elections into the board. 2. The board will call an emergency meeting of stakeholders to fashion the way forward 3. The court case against the board will be withdrawn and an out of court settlement reached for football to thrive. 4. All issues of misappropriation will be settled internally. 5. New guidelines for election and possibly a new date will be made public. After all these is done, FIFA will then lift the suspension to enable Nigeria return to the football family. All these must be done before Tuesday this week for the good of the game. Lets move the game forward, this crisis must stop forthwith.
