THE SOAP OPERA IN NIGERIA. The recents events unfolding in Nigeria may be likened to episodes of a soap opera where people watch with utter dismay, as each episode dovetails into another. That is the case of the happenings in the last few weeks. First was the total slam down of the gates of ivory towers in Nigeria, thereby giving the students the laxity to get involved in idling activities, which most time culminates into youthful frivolities and sometimes crimes. Little wonder why no one seem to be so concerned and all the president of Nigeria can alternate to is to find "viable venture" in China at the expense of to be human resources who have been shut out from classrooms.
