THE SOUNDS of French choral music will be ringing out at Pershore Abbey to raise cash in aid of Midland Air Ambulance. Local choir Philomusica will perform a programme on Saturday, October 26 that includes Gounod’s St. Cecilia Mass and Fauré’s much-loved Requiem. The Philomusica soloists and chorus will be conducted by Linda Parsons and the organist will be James Drinkwater. Linda said; “We’re delighted to have another opportunity to support the work of the Midlands Air Ambulance. “Our Pershore Abbey concert last March benefited this charity, which does such important work, and thanks to the generosity of our audience that night we raised a lot of money for them.” Tickets can also purchased in advance by e-mail to [email protected], from ‘Blue’ on Broad Street or by calling 01386 553847 or 01905 820140.
