THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD GIVES FREEDOM! 28/06/13 2 Corin 3:17 NIV "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." The GOD Christians worship is not an ordinary person nor a deity, He is very powerful in nature, full of authority, also an invisible being (Spirit). He does His work in His own way, but good so that mankind will be redeemed from the mess he has placed himself. The Lord is Spirit indicates that, He evidently signifies the Gospel; Jesus Christ was the saviour of the world, and since He humbled himself till death even the death on the cross, He was raised from the dead by God and was given a name that is above all name; that at the mention of it ............., that Jesus Christ is Lord (Phili 2:4-10). In John chapter 1, it gives clarity of Him being the Gospel (Spirit); so called because it points out the spiritual nature and meaning of the law; because it produces spiritual effects; and because it is especially the dispensation of the Spirit of God. Here Jesus Christ is represented as that Spirit, because he is the end of the law for justification to everyone that believes; and because the residue of the Spirit is with him, and he is the dispenser of all its gifts, grace, and influences. Also know that, wherever the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty; wherever the Gospel is preached, received, and adhered to, there the Spirit of the Lord is given and wherever that Spirit lives and operates, there is liberty/ freedom, not only from the rulers or the oppressors of the land, but from the slavery of sin-from its power, its guilt, and its pollution. (John 8:33-36). "You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ he does not belong to Christ." (Romans 8:9). Thus you have no freedom, peace of mind, you loose the sonship of God, and then become a slave to satan. Therefore, you accepting the Gospel is as good as you accepting the Spirit of God, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper, because you are divinely free, liberated and protected by Him and his angels. Receive the gospel and Christ will lead you always to eternity, amen. PRAYER: LORD JESUS, I accept you in my life as the the Gospel of transformation, therefore grant me freedom from satan and his agents, sins and its power and guilts. Let your right hand provide rest upon me and give me peace in the name of Jesus. Amen.
