THE SPIRITUAL IMPORTANCE OF AN ECLIPSE There is nothing that takes place without a purpose, more so there isn’t an extraordinary phenomenon without spiritual implications/importance. Let’s consider the 3rd November 2013 Rare Hybrid Solar Eclipse. Am afraid it is fairly long reading but we believe it’s worth it! Revelations 16:8-11 8. The fourth Angel poured his bowl on the sun: Fire blazed from the sun and scorched men and women. 9 Burned and blistered, they cursed Gods Name, the God behind these disasters. They refused to repent, refused to honor God. 10 The fifth Angel poured his bowl on the throne of the Beast: Its kingdom fell into sudden eclipse. Mad with pain, men and women bit and chewed their tongues, 11 cursed the God of Heaven for their torment and sores, and refused to repent and change their ways. An eclipse is a reminder that the end time will surely come one day, and like it causes fear in people, the end time will indeed be extra-ordinarily painful to the unrepentant. The Jewish calendar The Jewish calendar is based on three astronomical phenomena: the rotation of the Earth about its axis (a day); the revolution of the moon about the Earth (a month); and the revolution of the Earth about the sun (a year). These three phenomena are independent of each other, so there is no direct correlation between them. On average, the moon revolves around the Earth in about 29½ days. The Earth revolves around the sun in about 365¼ days, that is, about 12.4 lunar months. The civil calendar used by most of the world has abandoned any correlation between the moon cycles and the month, arbitrarily setting the length of months to 28, 30 or 31 days. The Jewish calendar, however, coordinates all three of these astronomical phenomena. Months are either 29 or 30 days, corresponding to the 29½-day lunar cycle. Years are either 12 or 13 months, corresponding to the 12.4 month solar cycle. The Jewish calendar has the following months The ancient Jewish calendar that forms the structural basis for the current lunar calendar was associated with predominant stars or phenomenon of that particular period. These stars also were associated with seasons like harvest, rainy, sunny e.tc. Accordingly, for lack of knowledge of the true God, astrologers looked at those various stars as gods of various activities, like rain, drought, harvest, fertility e.tc. Anything that occurred supernaturally (non routine) in the astronomic world (galaxy) was considered a show of god’s anger or blessing. But since there was no clarity on whether it was a blessing or anger/curse, people offered sacrifices to such an occurrence to avert any possible misfortune that may came with it or invoke blessings based on the sacrifices so offered as an appeasement to the gods responsible to that show of power! An example of such was an eclipse! Satan being the master of wickedness quickly took advantage of the ignorance of the people and could effect curses or ‘blessings’ invoked based on the sacrifices offered by the people. With the sole aim of blurring/blocking people from the knowledge of the true God, but replacing that vacuum with creatures like the stars and events, satan had effectively taken control of people’s mind to now worship those starts and galactic events. To ensure that people are effectively stopped from seeing the power of the true God in such events like the eclipse and seasonal stars, satan accomplished every invocation made with a sacrifice and thus it became ‘confirmed’ and written in people’s minds that these events could be used to achieve certain objectives. This is how the art of idol worship was effected. Medians of evil spirits called astrologers, sorcerers, witches and wizards guided this evil practice through the ages till today. This diversion of the truth led Yahweh Almighty to give Moses sets of new commandments before they could resettle in Israel with one particular command going as follows: Exodus 20:3-5 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; (It is even argued that God sent the Israelites to Egypt for four hundred years to erase the idol worship out of them and not defile his holly land with devil worship. The return to Israel then had to have a new constitution; that was very strict. In Egypt God had given himself an opportunity to reveal how devil/idol worship was powerless compared to Yahweh’s saving power). When an eclipse or any other extra-ordinary galactic events occur, devil worshipers use it as an opportunity to renew and strengthen their relations with satan, they make blood sacrifices of animals, birds and even human beings, to show their allegiance to and seek more powers from the devil. It is important that during such an event Christians; using the name and the blood of Jesus (which was a total non-blemish sacrifice) cancel every form of spell, curse and invocations being made by astrologers, sorcerers, witches and wizards to Lucifer and its ministers and agents. The Rare Hybrid eclipse that occurs after every 104, years is a perfect time for devil worshipers to cast spells and evil invocations against humanity and the progress of Christianity for another 104, years. As Christians we had an equal opportunity to declare the sovereignty of Yahweh and standing on the accomplished work of Christ to denounce, council and destroy every agenda of wickedness for the next 104 year.
