THE SPORTS TRUST GOES GREEN AND STREAMLINES MULTIPURPOSE SPORT COURT PRODUCTION VIA LOCAL PARTNERSHIP The Sports Trust recently partnered with MPACT to locally manufacture the sport base for our multipurpose sport courts. This partnership will see manufacturing occurring in Brits in the North West and Atlantis in the Western Cape. As such The Sports Trust endeavors to support local industry while simultaneously adhering to the same exacting standards and quality assurance as required abroad. Components are produced in an ISO 9001 accredited facility ensuring a top quality product for our local market which is designed to last for 20 years. Previously a concrete base was constructed to fit the sport court tile on whereas now we have reduced our carbon footprint and construction time by installing the recycled sport base as the bottom layer. This has now enabled us to install these durable facilities across South Africa at a much faster rate of 100 courts per annum. With the courts 20 year life span and 15 year warranty, The Sports Trust together with our partners foresee many years of talent identification and ultimately healthier, more active lifestyles for the youth of South Africa.
