THE SUMMER LIGHTS FESTIVAL NEEDS VOLUNTEERS! The Summer Lights Festival is Kitchener-Waterloo’s one-night-only, outdoor, all-night summertime arts and culture event. We’re looking for a team of enthusiastic and energetic volunteers to help us “ignite the night” on June 21, 2014. We will need help in a variety of capacities throughout the night, so there are lots of opportunities available to suit different interests and skills. Some of the things our volunteers will do include: helping patrons by answering questions and giving directions to venues; assisting participating artists and businesses; setting up before the event and tearing down after; helping our technicians. The festival will take place in various locations around downtown Kitchener and UpTown Waterloo on June 21, 2014, from 9 pm until 2 am. We have dozens of artists, musicians and business partners lined up for what we’re sure will be an unforgettable start to the summer. We’re all really excited to be part of the first edition of the Summer Lights Festival and we’re confident that it’s going to be a lot of fun. We’re hoping media outlets in Kitchener-Waterloo will help us spread the word about the festival and let anyone who is interested in volunteering know that they can contact volunteers@summerlightsfestival to get involved.
