THE SUTTON ARMS - ELTON This is a traditional pub, famous for serving over 300 dishes on there huge menu. As always I ordered the parmo which comes in one size and priced at £11.95. As I waited 45 minutes for the food music began to play, Im assuming to stop my eyes from closing. Not sure what the excuse was with the wait as the place wasnt busy at all. When the parmo arrived it was presented superbly and came out a good size, the chips were in a little frying basket too. Fantastic presentation skills. The chicken itself is thin due to being battered out too much as well as being off colour. Not fresh at all and certainly isnt white. The parmo is soggy and very greasy as you can see from the images we took. The chicken is squidgy and has a slight off taste to it and the breadcrumbs lifted straight off. Not happy with this parmo at all. The tasteless bechamel sauce is inconsistently spread and the edges were really crispy due to this. A strong cheese gave some flavour to the dish but that was pretty much the only thing that had any taste. The skin has been left on the home made chips which were average at best. The salad is in a little dish on the plate and also looks a little off colour too. The strong garlic has a sour taste to it and couldnt save the parmo. After being served what was a poor effort of a parmo, its only right to mention the smell of urine as we entered the pub and a milder awful smell as we sat at the table. Not good at all. A poor scoring 1 out of 5 for this parmo and definitely not worth the price paid. One of the worst yet. The Sutton Arms - Elton you have been perved on!
