THE THING ABOUT GEJS NIGERIA No Nigerian leader, military or civilian, has in the history of the country come under the kind of strategic barrage of assaults on his person and office as we have today. Beyond the criminal assaults, there exist conspiracies of every imaginable kind to undermine his progress and success...and majority of us, citizens, are aware of them. However, what majority of us have not yet realised is that GEJs Nigeria differs greatly from those of other leaders before him. Besides the fact that Rule of Law has received better prominence and guided the Presidents actions, theres also now a balance of powers among nations and peoples within the federation that differs from the old order. The reality is that the days when a section of the country could dictate to others are long gone and forever, and we all know it. Then to the most important fact, and you may choose to take it or leave it. It is the approach of Mr. President thats keeping this country together. But for a man like him and his consultative approach, it would have been To your tents O Nigerians, given the brazen unwarranted and devilish assaults on our people by power mongers. Mr. President ought, therefore, to be commended for managing power with maturity and tact in spite of all that is being done to undermine his success and our integrity. Let us stabilize the polity and join forces as change agents and citizens to build our country rather than play Devils Advocate. Every strategic action of Mr. President has been about unbundling Nigeria and releasing her to take her flight of greatness. Examine them for yourself. So, those who are head-on stoking the embers of insurgency and taking their roles in the plot to break our spirits and Nation must learn from history. These things always backfire.
