THE TIME IS NOW Wayward people everywhere, confused and losing faith Looking for a different thing, to make their life complete They look ahead and to the past, make the same mistake The time is now to change your life; it’s yours alone to take If I were here or I were there, or just not here but anywhere Light and brightness would emerge, and less for me to bear But gray and darkness still remain, in this an unkind place Where do I find the god of man, and all his kindly grace Some search their whole life through, and still never know Always looking for the light of life, and that elusive glow Never knowing or accepting, their often made mistake That what they seek is found within, not any other place When life and time is fleeting, for existence as they know Many are running and still searching, for life’s elusive glow They fail to see the culprit, who caused their awful plight That they and only they, could find their own bright light And here at life’s end, the truth hits with weighted might It was them alone, who brought the darkness of the night They had so much and much to give, yet let it slip away Remaining blind to life’s abundance, each and every day So make your choice in early life, and relish your time here Don’t waste a moment meant for you, it’s your life to endear Even if it’s realized later on in life, and before an aging face Each second lived a gift to all, the time is now it’s not too late William K.
