THE UNIQUENESS AND SPECIALTY OF THE NOBLE PROPHET (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa sallam) Part 4 By Ahmad Tijani Mubarak PROPHET MUHAMMAD (SAW): LIKE NO OTHER The Messenger (pbuh) had an excellent, complete and sound intellect. No man has ever had an intellect as complete and perfect as his. Qadhi Iyaadh 16, may God have mercy on him, said: This becomes clear to an Individual when the researcher reads the Prophet’s biography and understands his state of affairs, and his meaningful and inclusive utterances and traditions, his good manners, ethics and moral character, his knowledge of the Torah and Gospel and other Divine Scriptures, and his knowledge of statements of the wise, and knowledge of by-gone nations, and ability to strike examples and implement policies and correct emotional manners. He was an example and paradigm to which his people could relate to in all branches of knowledge; acts of worship, medicine, laws of inheritance, lineage, and other matters as well. He knew and learned all of this without reading or examining the Scriptures of those before us, nor did he sit with their scholars. The Prophet had no formal schooling, and was without knowledge of the above before being commissioned as a Prophet, nor could he read or write. The Prophet (pbuh) was wise to the fullest extent of his mental capacity. Allah, the Exalted, informed him of some of what had taken place (in the past) and of that which would take place in the future. This is a sign that the Dominion belongs to God, and that He is capable over all things. Sallallahu Alaihi wa sallam! THE FIRST TO ENTER PARADISE The Prophet (SAW) said: I will approach the door of Paradise on the day of Resurrection then will Open it (ASTAFTIHU). Then the gate keeper will say: who are you? Then I will say: Muhammad! Then he will say: I am commanded to not open (AFTAHA) to anyone before you. (Mukhtarul-Ahadith. Hadith number 1). THE OPENER OF WHAT HAS BEEN CLOSED Nabiyyullahi Taaha (SAW) The Prophet of Allah (SAW) Said: Allah has accepted my invocation to forgive what whispers in the hearts of my followers unless they put it to action or utter it. - (Bukhari) This rear privilege has never been granted to anyone else except the special one. SAW! THE CLOSEST TO THE ALMIGHTY ALLAH Our Prophet (SAW) is the most closest of Allahs Messenger and in fact of all creation. No wonder Allah stresses the importance of believing in Him and His Messenger, and of supporting and following the Prophet (SAW), and imparts the glad tidings that such people will go to paradise as Allah Said: “So that you might all believe in Allah and His Messenger and honor Him and respect Him and glorify Him in the morning and the evening. (Surat al-Fath, 9)” “...Those who believe in him and honor him and help him, and follow the Light that has been sent down with him, they are the ones who are successful.” (Surat al- A’raf, 157) ...And whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger (SAW) he has indeed achieved a great achievement (i.e he will be saved from the Hell-fire and be made to enter Paradise). (Q33:71) Obey Allah and obey the Messenger (Prophet Muhammad SAW)... (Q64:12) It is not expected of a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has indeed strayed in a plain error. (Q33:36) These are just but a few of several places which Allah Has mentioned the Noble Prophets (SAW) name next to Himself especially in terms of whom loyalty, honor, obedience and respect is due. Allah Said: Innallazeena yuuzuunallaha wa rasulahu laanahumullahu fee ddunya wal akhira waaddallahum azaaban muheena (Q33:57) Verily, those who annoy Allah and His Messenger (SAW) Allah has cursed them in this world and in the Hereafter and has prepared for them a humiliating torment. (Q33:57) Even though we are all but slaves and servants of The Most High, in the above verse Allah seemingly places Himself on the same level with His beloved Messenger (SAW) in spite of the fact that He is the Creator of all creation among which is the Messenger. This is done without exception as to the amount, level or type of annoyance of the noble Prophet (SAW) that is of the same status to that of Allah. And from the realm of wisdom, we are made to understand that its as good as annoying the sender by annoying the messenger. Meanwhile, if we thus think we are of the same status to the noble Prophet (SAW) lets hear what Allah has to say in the next verse. Allah Said: Wallazeena Yuuzunal mumineena wal muminaat bigayri maktasabu faqadihtamalu buhtaanan wa isman mubeena. (Q33:58) And those who annoy believing men and believing women undeservedly, bear on themselves a crime of slander and plain sin. From the verse above we are made to understand the extend of sins at which annoying a believer can incurs on oneself (i.e a crime of slander and plain sin) and we also learnt that annoying a believer is unlawful particularly UNDESERVEDLY. Which means annoying a believer deservedly is lawful and in fact rewardable (e.g calling one to prayer while he is sleeping can be annoying but in this case it is deserving, calling one to abstain from devilish ways to virtues path can be annoying but it is deserving). But this was not the case in the scenario of the noble Prophet (SAW) as explained in the former verse. In no way is it deserving for one to annoy the noble Prophet (SAW). Besides, annoying him in any form is a crime which incurs not just a sin (s) but Allahs Wrath in both Worlds and we all know (to some extent) the capability of Allahs Wrath as different from a mere sin. A sin committed is forgivable by Allah but who will save you from Allahs Curse? Or is it His humiliating torment (Jahannam) we can withstand? ...To Be Continued Inshaa Allah! O Allah we ask for Your Noble Blessing to always stick with us, the blessing of a special and unique love of Sayyidil Wara and saturate us therein forever.
