THE USELESS OBAS OF YORUBALAND: [RATE YOUR OBA] The Asiwaju of Yorubaland has declared his results. He made the exceptions. Just three Obas crossed the pass mark of usefulness. The rest of the Obas in Yorubaland were classified as useless [synoyms: purposeless, vain, bootless, nugatory, hopeless, unusable, ineffectual,impotent, profitless, unproductive, and vegetable]. The three that passed the Tinubu or perhaps the APC test were: 1. Oba Akiolu [Oba of Lagos] 2. Oba Awujale - Sikiru Adetona [Oba of Ijebuland] 3. Perhaps [De Aholu Menu-Toyi I - Akran of Badagry Kingdom] The rest of the Obas, Bola Tinubu, the leader of APC in the country, lumped as useless. Those who fall in the useless category include the Ooni of Ife, Alaafin of Oyo, Olojudo Alaiyemore of Ido-Osun, and the Oluwo of Iwo in Osun state, amongst hundreds of highly revered Obas of Yorubaland. In declaring his result, he said:“You are not part of the useless Obas in Yorubaland who will sell out, we know them and it is not yet time to mention names. In Yorubaland today, you are the best monarch and that is not contestable. The good Obas’ in Yorubaland, who are forthright, firm and stand by the truth are not up to five, they are just three. Oba Awujale, Oba Akiolu and another. May you live long in good health and abundant God blessing,” The methodology of the APC leaders assessment of Yoruba Obas is yet unknown to all but him.
