THE WALK With Rev. Jimmy Cullen Every year at Christmas we sing this familiar song, “Hark the herald angels sing, Glory to the new-born king. Peace on earth, and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled!” Have you ever wondered what that means, Reconciled? 2 Corinthians 5:18-21 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. God has given you and I the work of telling everyone about the peace we can have with him. Through Christ death on the cross, God made peace between us and himself. God made Christ who had no sin, to become sin for us, so that in Christ we could become right with God. Our sin debt has been paid in full by the precious blood of Christ! Have a blessed day, Jimmy Cullen
