THE WAREHOUSE ATE MY BROTHER TGREAPER “Come on, the there’s a broken window in the back.” Dan led Kathy, Liz and Eric around the corner of the warehouse. The moon lit up the junkyard, making strange shadows on the siding. Dan found the window and felt his hand around it, making sure there wasn’t any broken glass. “So not a good idea,” Liz said. Eric brushed past her and climbed in. “Come on chickens!” “How do you put up with him?” Liz asked. “Hey, he’s your brother,” Kathy replied. Dan helped the girls through the window and climbed in himself. The place was encased in shadows. Dust floated on moonlight where it shown through the window. Everything else was pitch black. A chill ran down Liz’s spine. Something was wrong. “Who has the flash light?” Dan asked. “I’m dying to explore this place.” The three looked around, Eric was gone. Liz walked back over to the window and saw blood on the floor. Dan walked over and knelt down to look closer. There were air bubbles in the blood. “My God, this is lung blood. I hope it’s not Eric’s.” “What are you talking about?” Liz asked. “How could it be lung blood?” Before Dan could answer, a scream sliced through the damp air, making them both jump. “Kathy?” Liz’s voice betrayed her fear. Nothing. “Maybe we should leave,” Dan said. Come back in the morning when it’s daylight.” Liz didn’t like the idea of leaving them overnight. “No. Let’s call the police. They can be pissed as us later.” The police arrived within minutes. Officer Johnson Told Dan to wait with Liz as he and Officer Makey walked over to the window. One stood on each side and shined their lights through the window. Something sailed out the window and landed on the ground, followed by another something. Liz looked down into her brother’s lifeless eyes and screamed. A couple of arms and a leg flew through as well. They looked chewed on. Makey vomited. Johnson grabbed him and pulled him back to the squad car. “The building ate them!” He said. “There was nobody there. The bodies were spit out!” “Tasteeeeee goooooddddd.” The voice seemed to come from inside. A do not enter sign was put up the next morning. The local missing posters were taken down, what wasn’t chewed was found outside the warehouse.
