THE WAY TO HEAVEN 2. Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14). Righteous father,thank you for the previous messages,thank you for the present message and thank you for the messages to come. I pray as many that will read this,you Lord will use it to draw them to yourself in Jesus name. Thank you father. Amen. Again we shall proceed from where we stopped in the previous message,where we started learning what the way to Heaven is. Jesus is the first and compulsory way to Heaven. And before anyone can pass through him to Heaven such a person must have had an encounter with him. Then after this encounter,such a person must have a full assurance that Jesus is his or her Saviour and Lord. Without having a persistance and concrete assurance of this,then such may not end up in Heaven. That is why a man who is in Christ must be always sensitive. By the grace of God,today we shall consider another way which every person wanting to get to Heaven must pass through. After passing the first way which is Jesus,this second way is also compulsory for you to pass through if indeed you want to get to Heaven. And it is very unfortunate that many a christian do not want to pass through this way. This way is a narrow way that has a small gate to it. When we say something is narrow,we must understand that is has to do with competition and striving. It has to do with how prepared and fit you are. It has to do with how determined and desperate you are. It means whosoever will get to heaven must be readily prepared,ready to pay the neccessary price,must be fit enough,must be ready to strive and fight for it. But it is unfortunate that many christians who gave their life to Christ are habitually walking on the broad way that leads to destruction because they thought Heaven is not worth a thing to struggle for. Have you forgotten that there are alot of attractions and distractions from the devil? Do you think he will keep silent and not put on your way many things to make you stumble? Those who are not yet crucified with Christ cannot work on the narrow way because the devil will always link them through flesh. We have more christians who lives in the pattern of the broad way because they are yet to done with the world and sin. Dear brothers and sisters,think of it and be sincere within you,are you on the broad way that leads to destruction or on the narrow way that leads to life? If you are consciously sinning,you are still on the broad way,no matter your height in the kingdom. Heaven will not tolerate any iota of sin,worldliness and fleshly life. The Lord said, my grace is enough for you,therefore will you determine today and be ready to pay the price, So as to get yourself back to the narrow way which only few can find? If you remain a pleasurable and lukewarm christian,you will not get there. The narrow way is meant for the few who can desperately sacrifice all it will take them to get to Heaven. Please think of this,be sincere with yourself and cry to the Lord. You can also walk on the narrow way,only if you are on the first way which is Jesus. May the Lord give us understanding about his word. Amen.
