THE WEAPON OF PRAYER - PART 16 * TYPES OF PRAYER The Types Of Prayer Mentioned In The Holy Bible Include: * PRAYER OF AGREEMENT We find Prayer of Agreement in Matthew 18vs19-20. Matthew 18vs19-20: 19 Again I say to you that if two of you AGREE on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them. Prayer of Agreement is self-explanatory. There is power in two or more people AGREEING together in prayer about an outcome. Because the Holy Bible teaches that two people praying provide a ten-fold increase in the PRAYER POWER, we might infer that for each additional Christian praying over a situation there is another ten-fold increase. The Holy Bible does not tell us for sure, but we do know that the more people who are praying over a situation, the better will be the results. Otherwise, why would God ask whole nations to pray? If He could always get the job done with just a few faithful souls, what need would there be for Corporate Prayer? The key point to be emphasized here, however, IS NOT THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE, BUT RATHER THE FACT THAT THEY MUST BE IN AGREEMENT. Herein lies the difficulty. THE TWO OR MORE PEOPLE MUST BE IN AGREEMENT. FOR INSTANCE, IF WE GATHER 10 PEOPLE TO PRAY OVER A SITUATION, IF 6 OF THEM ARE IN AGREEMENT (IN THEIR MINDS) AND 4 OF THEM ARE IN DISAGREEMENT (IN THEIR MINDS). THEN IT CANNOT BE CALLED OR SEEN AS PRAYER OF AGREEMENT AGAIN. FOR THAT KIND OF PRAYER TO BE PRAYER OF AGREEMENT, THE WHOLE 10 OF THEM MUST AGREE (IN THEIR MINDS) TO PRAY OVER THE SITUATION. The Church has this same problem. This is one reason the Church is so weak. Why is it difficult to agree to pray over a situation? IT IS SIMPLY BECAUSE, WE DONT UNDERSTAND THE HOLY BIBLE WHOLLY OR WE DONT REALLY UNDERSTAND THE MIND OF GOD. THEREFORE, WHEN YOU DECIDE TO USE THIS PRAYER, BE CERTAIN YOU DISCUSS WHAT YOU ARE ASKING THE OTHER PARTIES OR PEOPLE TO AGREE ABOUT BEFORE YOU START PRAYING. THIS AGREEMENT MUST BE SPIRITUAL AND NOT MENTAL BECAUSE YOU ARE A NICE PERSON. For your prayers to be heard and answered, if you are still unsaved, you need to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Savior now!
