THE WEEK IN REVIEW We predicted that this week might be pretty quiet, and that’s the last time we’ll make such a dumb prediction. A lot of pension-related developments, including a legislative committee’s vote to deny a contract to Seven Counties Services over its bankruptcy. The legislators don’t have the final word; the state Finance Secretary does. This issue may well play out over the next couple of weeks. As for next week, we hope KRS will clarify the situation with health insurance administration for next year. Somebody dropped the ball in announcing a change in the Kentucky Employees Health Plan for 2015. KRS should have been able to immediately inform us what this change means for retirees. We don’t want to learn important information directly affecting us from a reporter’s tweet.
