THE WILLIAMBURG POTTERY (WILLIAMSBURG, VA). Was really surprised yesterday to see that all of the businesses housed in the old Pottery building had moved into a brand new shopping center just across the railroad tracks from the former location. The new center is all brick, the businesses are still connected (you can mostly walk from one into the other without ever going outside), but the new place is not doing well at all - I thought that the center might have been closed when I got there because there were almost no cars in the parking lot (very sad). I think that the new outlet stores located down the road (probably larger than Rehoboths) have really hurt them in a big way and that they probably should have relocated much closer to town.
