THE WIND WAS AGAINIST IT Mathew 14:23 After he had dismissed - TopicsExpress

THE WIND WAS AGAINIST IT Mathew 14:23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, 24 but the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. Many times I measure my victory on the kind of opposition I go through. So often, every time we want to do something the devil will always be against us and provides opposition and I have come also to believe that WITHOUT FRICTION, THERE CAN NEVER BE ANY MOVEMENT both as a Theologian and also as a Physicist since my first degree was in Physics from the University of Nairobi! The devil will without careful thoughts always provide friction for us to move to a higher glory! The storms of temptation may appear cruel, but don’t they lead to a greater intensity and earnestness in my prayer life? Don’t they compel me to cling to God’s promises with a tighter grasp? And don’t they leave me with character that is more refined? The storms of sorrow through bereavement are intense, but they are one of our Father’s ways of driving us to Himself. His purpose is to softly and tenderly speak to our hearts in the secret, hidden place of His presence. There is a certain glory of the Master that can only be seen when the wind is contrary and my ship is being tossed by the waves. Jesus Christ is not my security AGAINST the storms of life, but He is my perfect security IN the storms. He has never promised me an easy passage, only a safe landing. And I surely know I will land there! May the Lord help us, strengthen us to go through against the winds of economic strains, the winds of poor health, the winds of discouragements, the winds of opposition and criticism, the winds of family crises and all types of winds! God Bless Your Day!
