THE WINDS OF CHANGE If there is one thing constant, it is change. Around the world, from Brazil to Egypt to Greece, there is a growing clamor for it. The Philippines will be no exception. Thanks to the social media, there is a growing awareness of the need to change, against massive corruption, self-perpetuating political dynasties, broken institutions, to cite a few. Sooner or later, this clamor will reach a crescendo, as the problems of the country mount, and those who oppose it will be swept by the wayside. This is the lesson of history. The only question is whether change can be achieved peacefully or violently. The answer to this question depends on the good sense of our leaders. Hopefully, good sense will prevail.
