THE WOODLANDS BOOK CLUB Oh What A Night I felt like I Should have taken my pajamas. It almost went into a slumber party. What a fun bunch! I started talking around 8 P.M. And 10 I thought I was through, but they filled their glasses with wine once again had a piece of red velvet cake and set me back down to ask questions. The whole time I traveled to the Woodlands I prayed and listened to some of my favorite Christian CDs. I always anticipate people and their reaction to our story prior to my sharing. This was the First event I had attended that I did not know anyone personally. This being a book club I knew everyone would not necessarily be interested in this type story or my profound thoughts about God. So yes, I was a little apprehensive! I also knew for me to take God out of the story! I would have to cut my tongue out. I have experienced pretty much every type group over the past year. I would have to say this bunch was one of my favorites! They made me feel a part from the time I entered the room. It was definitely a diverse group ranging in personalities from bold, very serious, fun loving, and full of heart. In a strange sort of way I felt totally connected to all of them. At eleven I decided I better get on the road even though Pat Benson insisted I stay or they put me up in a hotel . Nocona was at my house so I made my way back home.I let the ladies know when they had John Grisham as their author I wanted to join them. I stopped outside of Houston and had breakfast and a couple cups of coffee. When I started driving I got a call from Nocona...rather upset that I was out that late! Great night at the woodlands ! Not just attending a book club....I felt divine appointments!
