THE WORD WORKS The centurion answered and said I am not worthy - TopicsExpress

THE WORD WORKS The centurion answered and said I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only and my servant shall be healed. Matthew 8:8 (KJV) We live in a time and hour where believers are beginning to place much emphasis on His works than on His word. The works can cease; the miracles can stop, but the only guarantee that we have is the word of God, because the word of God cannot fail. Today, I like to draw your attention to His word that is infallible and errorless. In Mark 13:31 the scripture declares “heaven and earth may pass away, but His word will not return to Him void. This shows clearly that signs may cease, but the word abides forever. Today, I see a clientele of believers who are beginning to say, we cannot believe until we see. This trend is dangerous because we are beginning to move by feelings. Beloved, your feelings have nothing to do with what God wants to do or has done in your life. In John 20: 25 we see an encounter between the disciples who had seen the risen Christ and Thomas who refused to believe that He had resurrected. Lets look at the scripture closely. It says the other disciples therefore said unto him, we have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, except I shall see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into His side, I will not believe. Thomas was very emphatic, he refused to believe until he could see and touch. Unfortunately, that describes the state of a lot of believers today. Beloved, you must refuse to join the company of those who refuse to believe except they see. We dont see before we believe, but rather we believe therefore we see. Refuse to shift your ground. Stand solidly on the word of God because I know that God will come through for you. I challenge you to get into the realm of believing what God has said concerning your situation even when you have not seen any manifestation. If He said it, then that settles it.
