THE WORLD IS FALLING AND TROUBLE IS LURKING UNLESS. .. I spent ample time today in the study room amid grave-yard silence and embarked on a full-scale journey through the corridor of the world to critically examine events as they unfold. I stopped to catch a little glimpse of happenings in Sudan, North-Korea, Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, Kenya, Somalia, Afghanistan, Syria, Egypt, Ukraine as well as Libya. My heart indeed pumped faster than I could ever imagine. I weep for my people. Things have fallen apart and the world is being caught in the deadly flames of violent conflicts, poverty, diseases and evil. There is no love, trust, peace, justice, equity, fairness and progress in our land. We are only pretending that all is well but a deadly cankerworm is surreptitiously eating us up and stripping us of our desire to change the world for the better. In my course of study, I discovered that currently, there are over 27.5 million internally displaced persons worldwide due to violent conflicts according to a report by Refugees International. There is also a monumental growth of asylum seekers and Urban refugees who flee their homes and countries in the wake of bloody civil unrests. Times are indeed perilous, wicked and worrying to every believer in the global project. My own immediate national constituency Nigeria is no exception. Corruption and killings have been frequently fraternized by those who do not in anyway mean well for us. Indeed danger is lurking and the world is in trouble. Every single global citizen must realize this fact and prepare to engage in a stiff Armageddon fight with the forces of evil so we could pave way for the emergence of light. The United Nations, International NGOs, Humanitarians, as well as governments at all levels must not rest on their oars in defeating the things that are antithetical to our hopes and aspirations. Tens of thousands of people are sick, hungry, thirsty, homeless, and in need of humanitarian assistance. Lets share ideas and articulate action-plans that are the very foundation of change. Whoever you are, wherever you are, and what ever class you belong in the social stratification, the world is in dire need of change and let the change come courtesy of our strident efforts to better the world.
