THE family of missing Farnham sailor Andrew Bridge have pleaded for the US coastguard to resume a search for their loved one and his crewmates after their yacht capsized in the mid-Atantic. Andrew, 21, sailed with Frensham Sailing Club in his youth, winning many awards including first prize at the clubs annual Frenzy event in 2008 before progressing to ocean-faring yachts. However, contact with Andrews yacht, Cheeki Rafiki, was lost on Friday after they reported running into difficulties about 1,000 miles off Cape Cod, Massachusetts. After a two-day search in difficult conditions, the US Coastguard-led air and sea search was called off on Sunday. Andrews aunt Georgina Bridge told Sky News: We are holding out great hope that Andrew and the guys on board Cheeki Rafiki will be found. We are hopeful that they were able to launch a life raft and that they are still on board that, so we would just really like the search to be resumed.
