THEATRE STAFF (YMCA of the North Shore) The Y Theatre Company is looking for dynamic and dedicated part time staff with talents to share to inspire and lead youth theatre productions throughout the North Shore. Dedicated to Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility, our theatre staff are an integral part of a creative team, leading all aspects of theatre production including staff recruitment, set design, communication, costuming and more. Productions: Ipswich: Aladdin Jr. Auditions September 27th-29th, Performances December 12th & 13th Haverhill: Annie Jr. Auditions September 20th-22nd, Performances November 22nd & 23rd Salem: Honk Jr. and Hairspray - Auditions October 18th-20th, Performances January 10th-12th and January 24th-February 2nd. Available Positions: Production Director - Haverhill The Production Director is responsible for the artistic vision of the production. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: hiring the staff as necessary, collaborating with designers, directing actors, teaching music, and communicating with parents including leading two parent meetings. The director is present at all auditions, rehearsals, performances, and assists with tech during tech week. Prior experience working with children in a theatrical setting and prior experience directing required. Stage Managers - Ipswich, Haverhill, Salem The Stage Manager is the essential link between all areas of the theatre company. Responsibilities include by are not limited to: setting up and breaking down rehearsal, running check in and check out, taking notes at all rehearsals, communicating with parents in regards to scheduling and other production questions, assisting in technical elements of the production, calling the show during productions. The stage manager is present at all auditions, rehearsals, performances, and assists with tech during tech week Prior experience working with children in a theatrical setting and prior experience stage managing are required. Production Associate - Ipswich & Haverhill The Production Associate is responsible for assisting the Director and/or Music Coordinator at all rehearsals and performances, in any capacity required. Some tasks may include but are not limited to: assisting in rehearsal set up and break down, running rehearsals warm-ups/vocal warm-ups, running scenes or songs, coaching actors on character development, helping with technical elements of the production during tech week and performances. Prior experience working with children required. Production Assistant - Ipswich & Haverhill The Production Assistant is available to assist with production elements as required. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: assisting the technical director during tech week, participating in all performances as required by the director or technical director, being present at rehearsal in the absence of the production associate and more. Prior experience working with children required. The positions are part time weekday afternoons/evenings and some weekends.
