THEME: FRUIT OF LOVE THURSDAY~21ST~NOVEMBER~2013 WITHPASTOR ANITA OYAKHILOME God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord (1 Corinthians 1:9). Theres no love without fellowship; fellowship is the fruit of love. Abraham was called the friend of God (James 2:23) because he enjoyed a close fellowship with the Lord. Now, God has called you into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ, which means youre called into oneness, partnership, and union with the Lord Jesus. You have to be in constant communication with the Master. Study His Word to hear from Him; listen in your spirit for His voice, for He has said, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me (John 10:27). As you fellowship with Him in prayer, His perfect will is unveiled to you; His counsel and guidance for your life are made clear to you. The Holy Spirit is the One that helps you in your fellowship with Jesus, but your heart must be willing. Fellowship is something you do consciously in response to the Masters love. If you really love Jesus, you should be willing to spend time with Him every day. Remember, Hes the Word made flesh, so you spend time with Him when you spend time studying and meditating on the Word. Your fellowship with the Lord is unique to you. He doesnt have, has never had, and will never have a copy of you, and thats why He cherishes your fellowship and love. Youre His partner and friend, in a way no one else in the world can be. Make Jesus your greatest friend, and walk with Him everyday. Your times of personal Bible study, prayer, worship, and praise should be sacred moments; dont take them lightly. The more you relate with Him through His Word and the Spirit, the more His character and personality are revealed in and through you. PRAYER: Dear Father, what joy it is to know that I can relate with you in love, and enjoy the fellowship of the God- kind! By the power of the Holy Spirit, I enjoy a deeper and richer fellowship with Jesus every day, and through that fellowship, not only is Christ formed in me, His character is revealed through me, in Jesus Name. Amen. F U R T H E R S T U D Y: 1 John 1:3(KJV) 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 1 John 1:3(AMP) 3 What we have seen and [ourselves] heard, we are also telling you, so that you too may realize and enjoy fellowship as partners and partakers with us. And [this] fellowship that we have [which is a distinguishing mark of Christians] is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah). John 14:23(KJV) 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. John 14:23(AMP) 23 Jesus answered, If a person [really] loves Me, he will keep My word [obey My teaching]; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home (abode, special dwelling place) with him.
