THER IS SO MUCH INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS BOOK! Here I share some Fundamental Taijiquan Principles to read and ponder. These have been translated by my Master Yang, Jwing-Ming from the original poems: 1. An insubstantial energy leads the head 2. The eye gazes with concentrated spirit 3. Hold the chest in, arc the back 4. Sink the shoulders, drop the elbows 5. Settle the wrists, extend the fingers 6. Body central and upright 7. Pull up the tailbone 8. Relax your waist and relax your thighs 9. The knees look relaxed, but are not relaxed 10. Soles touch the ground 11. Top and bottom follow each other, the body should be united as one 12. Distinguish insubstantial and substantial 13. Internal and external are mutually coordinated. Breathe naturally 14. Use Yi, not Li 15. Qi circulates through the body, dividing it moves up and down 16. Yi and Qi are mutually linked 17. Every form of every posture follows smoothly; no opposition, the entire body is comfortable 18. Each form is smooth 19. Postures should not be too little or too much. The postures should seek to be centered and upright 20. Your applications should be concealed and not exposed 21. Attain stillness in motion 22. Attain motion in stillness 23.Light, then agile; agile, then move; move, then vary Enjoy Life! ~Doc H
