THERE ARE 2 SIDES TO EVERY STORY- ADDITIONAL COMMENT FROM POET BILLY LAMONT ON DEATH OF ERIC GARNER AND MICHAEL BROWN I know there is always two sides to the story. My second Mom (in the SPIRIT) always would say that to me since I was 17 years old. It is ironic and powerful to me that Mike Peters of The Alarm chose this as the refrain in his The Scriptures recording that I appear on in 3 sections. I do not believe JUSTICE has been served in these two murders. In fairness and to show The Police Officers side, on which I have many brothers and sisters as well as in the black community, is that there are many Cop Killers that thrive on senseless, grotesque random killing and many Police Officers have a very difficult life and death job every day. I think the problem on both sides of the story is echoed in my words from The Scriptures recording- A REAL HUMAN is more than a SOULESS UNIFORM. A Police Officer is a HUMAN above a uniform with a difficult job of keeping law and order. A black citizen, is an equal citizen, of We The People Republic, that needs dignity and respect and fair treatment under the law, A HUMAN and not just merely a SOULESS member of a race. Each case is individual and needs to gain an understanding of the other side and deserves JUSTICE under our system of government.A Police Officer should not be killed just because he wears the uniform and a Black citizen should not be killed before arrested and has a trial just because his race is black.
