THERE ARE THINGS YOU HAVE TO LIVE WITH September 30th, 2013 QUOTE OF THE DAY: “CONTENDING WITH INEVITABLE IS WASTING TIME AND CREATING TENSION” Memory Verse : “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me” 2 Corinthians 12:9. There are things we cannot possibly change, they just must happen; these are otherwise known as the inevitable of life. For example, attempting to change your spouse; trying to be like someone else; forcing yourself out of God’s eternal purpose; losing a loved one in death, and many others. In the process, you will not only create crisis, you waste enormous resources. It is like fighting a battle you can never win. What cannot be changed are better left alone. Such things are what confirm our limitations as humans. There are people that blaspheme, take offence or misbehave uncontrollably when the inevitable of life happens. They ask, ‘why must it be me?’ Do I not keep God’s commandments? And so on. Now, if you keep saying why you, who should it be? God permits certain things to come to you because He knows you can bear them. He knows you more than you know yourself. If you kill yourself because of your present predicament, do not forget that the sun will still shine tomorrow, God will remain God and people will still go about their normal duties. Nothing trains or teaches like experience, particularly the hard and tough ones. There is a lesson to be learnt from whatever happens to a person, there is always what to do next if anything happens. At the moment of excruciating pain, Jesus wished the work of our salvation be given to someone else, but He ultimately submitted to God’s will. Whenever the inevitable happens, what must you do? Accept it. There is wisdom in accepting what you cannot change. Never say words or do things you will regret later. Take some time out, evaluate the situation, you will learn one or two things from it. Prayerfully and maturely use the situation to advance, just as eagle uses storm to soar high. Your dream will not fizzle out. Receive grace now to rise above the challenges of life. Stay lifted! POUR OUT YOUR HEART BEFORE GOD, THE NEW MONTH WILL BE BETTER FOR YOU THAN ALL PREVIOUS MONTHS. PROPHETIC PRAYERS Oh Lord, empower me to accept the inevitables of life. From now, my eyes shall see possibilities and God in every circumstance surrounding me. Nothing shall separate me from the love of Christ in Jesus name.
