“THEY’RE NOT HIRED YET” – It’s time to follow the hiring structure from your place of employment concerning new relationships. They always interview before hiring you to work on the job. Before you touch ANYTHING you have to be interviewed first to see if you’re qualified. They interview you to see if you will be a good fit, they interview to ascertain if you will be an asset to the company. The problem has been with some of us is that we’ve put folks right to work in our lives without fully interviewing them first. We allow them to touch, mess around with, and get too familiar with sensitive, private things that should be designated only for those who have been hired. Let the few times you see them be times of interviewing without ANY intimacy whatsoever. In the employment world they give you a handshake at the end of the interview; you can equate that with a simple hug at the end of the date. Again, don’t let them touch anything until they have been hired… (DC Real Talk #3258)
