Located in the former Milligan lumber building right to the south of the square you will find owner and master furniture builder, Robby Pedersen at work. Robby says the strength of his business is “WE ARE IOWA TOURISM WINNERS WITH THE WORLD’S STRONGEST FURNITURE.” The reason they are tourism winners is when you enter this shop you are taken back into the 1800’s. Robby and his wife, Angie are sometimes in period clothing giving demonstrations on how to build furniture with a purpose like they did in 1875. You will be greeted by a couple of friendly cats, notice lots of wood shavings on the floor and lots of displays of furniture that you can place an order for. Robby will show you how he uses all the hand tools that he has collected throughout the years and how each one, in the hands of a master furniture builder, can create furniture made to last a lifetime.
