THIS BULLS**T IS KILLING OUR SPORT! People who have their own interests ahead of the future of our breed and our sport. The was written by Carole Hawke. Steve, I think you need to talk with (name removed). I hope she will confide in you about her own recent situation. Its alarming. You will forgive me but I am going to compare this situation with the parent club to the one with our current govt O regime. The people are dead asleep and do not care. So is your club membership, most of whom are probably pet owners or ignorant novices and either dont know or dont care what happens. Standing up to Sosas club cartel is going to have to happen PUBLICLY in a sensible, intelligent and non violent manner. What they are doing is despicable...using their club to re educate judges into believing only BANDOG type dogs are CORRECT. Re educate the club, Steve Framke by bringing forth at the meeting the same elements I provided you using just the obvious facts of the matter. Shame on Patty and Luis for using their influence to alter the breed from its standard and then secretly promoting their backed specials through club educational publications shared with all breed dog magazines. Shame on the magazine editor for letting that pass without confrontation, rebuke or apology. I could laugh, really. The purebred dog world has become that silly, cartoonish BIS movie. It is a GAME, a laughable, pretentious, worthless, useless game where once it was a serious sport. Those of you who have not been in dogs more than ten years have not seen from what respectable heights AKC and the Dog Show World in America have fallen. I wish it were possible to transport you back in time to spend a weekend at a REAL DOG SHOW in the era of the 1960s - 1990s. Today, AKC appointed clowns entertain the masses instead of adjudicating over rings full of serious fanciers (who have now become statistical fiends hell bent on crucifying the last top dogs show record.) Because of this modern trend, the sic pro handlers have taken over the breed rings and diminished the overall quality of purebred dogs. The pro handlers belong on specials only IMO as they will take almost anything to show into the classes and those things can be completely different in type and temperament within the same breed. On specials they may have to go into a group with they are a bit more discerning overall. I have participated for over thirty years and experienced a rather full gamut as breeder/exhibitor, ring steward and dog judge. That makes mine an expert opinion whether you like it or not
