THIS DAY IN ARKANSAS WEATHER HISTORY... 1916-A tornado hit Lake Village. 1926-Through the 21st, four to six inches of rain fell, mainly in central and western Arkansas. 7.18 inches fell at Hot Springs, with nearly six inches at Little Rock. 1963-Two to five inches of snow fell in the south. 1981-Freezing drizzle occurred in central and northern Arkansas causing some icing problems. 2013-Through the 21st, Heavy rain fell in much of the state. Over two days, as much as five to seven inches of rain fell in central and northeast Arkansas. Nearly eight inches fell near Carlisle. Two weak tornadoes touched down, with an EF1 at Redfield, and an EF2 in portions of Chicot and Desha Counties.
