THIS DAY IN CHRISTIAN HISTORY: January 30 Looking back on the history of Christianity and the Church, we notice that it is sometimes violent, sometimes inspiring, shocking, tragic, comic, or just plain bizarre. It is certainly never dull. Our Christian heritage was passed down to us through blood, sweat and tears, but mostly by the faith of our fathers. The church age as we know it is coming to an end very soon. Be very blessed and informed as you read these brief notations on the successes and failures of Christianity throughout the ages. The results of his research were published as “An Account of the Printed Text of the Greek New Testament” (1870). January 30, 1839: Scottish clergyman Robert Murray McCheyne wrote in a letter: God feeds the wild flowers on the lonely mountain side without the help of man.... So God can feed his own planted ones without the help of man, by the sweetly falling dew of his Spirit.
