THIS DAY IN CLEVELAND/OHIO STATE SPORTS HISTORY: July 22, 1983 -- In one of the most bizarre plays in Cleveland Stadium history, Indians third baseman Toby Harrah scores on his own double as the Tribe beats the Minnesota Twins 8-5 on the lakefront. With the game tied 5-5 in the bottom of the eighth inning, Harrah stepped to the plate with one out and runners on first and second. Harrah hit a line-drive double to right field, scoring Alan Bannister from second base and Broderick Perkins from first. A fielding error on Twins catcher Dave Engle allowed Harrah to come all the way around to score, putting the Tribe up 8-5 and completing the unlikely inside-the-park sequence for Harrah.
