THIS DAY IN CLEVELAND/OHIO STATE SPORTS HISTORY: October 20, 1991 -- Outside linebacker David Brandon returns an interception 30 yards for a touchdown with 7:20 remaining in overtime to give the Browns a 30-24 win over the San Diego Chargers at Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego, Calif. Trailing 17-3, the Browns rallied to tie the game on a 6-yard TD pass from quarterback Bernie Kosar to running back Leroy Hoard in the third quarter and a 1-yard run by running back Joe Morris in the fourth. San Diego went back on top 24-17, but the Browns came back to force overtime on Kosars 15-yard touchdown pass to Hoard with 4:09 remaining. Brandon, who played for the Chargers from 1987-1990, came back to haunt his old team in OT when he picked off a pass by San Diego quarterback John Friesz that was intended for wide receiver Nate Lewis and ran untouched to the end zone to bring an end to Clevelands three-game losing streak.
