THIS DISTURBING QUESTION OF LUHYA UNITY…………………. Today in the morning I was at Sulwe FM, and the question of Luhya Unity kept on coming back. My position is very clear. The message is good and plausible, but the messengers (MARENDE, MUDAVADI, JIRONGO AND YUCHINI) are not convincing. First, Marende was made a speaker courtesy of ODM Mps in 2008, but now he is hurling insults at the same people. Secondly, when MARENDE wanted to be speaker of the National Assembly, CORD MPs (FK, WIPER AND ODM) rallied behind him. Curiousily, Mudavadi and YUCHINI whipped their MPs in AMANI to support Justin Muturi against Marende. So where was LUHYA unity at that time? At what point did YUCHINI-MADVD duo realize that we needed Luhya unity? Three, who tells these people that by luhya uniting and having a community Presidential candidate, we shall produce a President? Mudavadi ran the last election largely as aluhya candidate. EveN his own running mate Jeremiah Kioni did not vote for him. So what has changed? But this is not even news, The tragic news is that the MARENDE, MUDAVADI, JIRONGO AND YUCHINI at different times held very powerful positions in Government. At that point, Luhya unity was not important. Why? Because they were happy and eating well in Government. Now that some of them are facing paternity support law suits from a myriad of concubines, they are looking for UNGA from Jubilee. And how best can they look for this UNGA rather than seek to further divide the luhya community, a journey MADVD did very well until he was called MADIMONI? Mudavadi ran away from ODM seeking democracy. When he landed in Jubilee, he wanted to be endorsed and when UHURU told him off, he almost cried on TV. Has he held elections in the Mary Wamboi held UDF party? Marende is where he is because of united affront on him by AMANI mps when they joined JUBILEE TO vote for JUSTIN MUTURI. Let him deal with his numerious problems without using Luhya unity as a shield. YUCHINI WAMALWA has perfected the art of political brokering and a horse trader of pseudo political influence. Jirongo perhaps is the best example of how a clever guy can use gullible masses to do business. We cannot achieve political power by running away from other Kenyans. We must work with other Kenyans and remain united within that context. Let us unite in the context of Kenyan issues, not tribal affiliations. Let us ignore merchants of political survival and confused confusers causing confusion in an already confused situation. We must ignore agents of doom manifesting themselves as agents of luhya unity. These fellows are after their own stomachs. They are still waiting for jobs from UHURU. Let them keep waiting…………………we wish them well. But LUHYAS will never be used as PAWNS in a POLITICAL CHESS GAME.
